Well-moving 5-year-old Welsh NWR STER broodmare and sports pony

Westerhuis Honeybee was the best three-year-old and reserve Section Champion at the Regional NWPCS Inspection Zuidenveld and obtained the Star predicate. A year later she was Reserve Adult Champion at the Regional Inspection.

Honeybee's mother is Ster - Preferent, grandmother and great-grandmother are Elite - Kroon. On his father's side is the Sports Stallion Steerwolde's VIP, who descends from the Elite - Kroon mother Wester Aikema's Nicolien and the very successful Sports Stallion Hagelkruis Valentijn. This makes her a full sister to the NWPCS approved Welsh Riding Pony Stallion Westerhuis Cupido.

Honeybee is currently pregnant (expected date of birth: May 25) to the Welsh Part Bred stallion Reitland's Sir Obama (See trotting photo. Pedigree: High Flown's Oxford x Diamond), who will see his first crop of foals born this year. Sir Obama is, among other things, a brother of the Australian FEI pony Obama and his family produces one successful dressage pony after another. Last year Honeybee had her first foal, she foals easily and is a very good mother. This foal is currently being reared with a view to the 2026 stallion inspection.

Honeybee has been ridden professionally in recent months and handles the work under saddle and on the lunge line very well. The mare is easy to handle, good at the farrier and on the trailer.
