Name: d'Artagnan (Daan)
FEI ID: 104UW25
Born on 5/2/2009
Qualifications:
- CIC3*L eventing
- M/1.20m jumping (20+ victory points)
- Z2 dressage
International results:
- 1st prize Eventing Castenray 2016 CCI1* (now CIC2*L)
- 8th prize Eventing Varsseveld 2016 CIC2* (now CIC3*S)
- SILVER NK eventing CIC2* 2016 (now CIC3*S)
- 3rd prize Eventing Maarsbergen 2021 CIC3*S
Unfortunately I can no longer offer Daan what he likes to do most, namely eventing, which is why I want to sell him to someone who can give him this.
Daan is a super sweet horse who means no harm. He will not buck or prance. Daan is enthusiastic under the saddle, he would like to work for you and is sensitive, which makes him not suitable for a novice, insecure or busy rider. You don't need spurs or a whip with him. I ride him with a double broken dressage bit and with jumping and cross a single broken pelham.
I have owned Daan since he was 4 and trained him myself. Daan is 100% traffic safe. You can load it on your own in a trailer, 2-horse cart or large truck. He is calm while handling or brushing. Even a small child can walk or be busy with him.
Daan is a machine in the cross. He thinks along with you and looks for the obstacles. He knows all dressage exercises up to Z2. He walks easily and does all exercises on light instructions.
Due to personal circumstances I haven't been able to start it much in recent years. In 2021 I was able to find a sponsor who made it possible to start another year internationally with Daan. In March 2021 I had him clinically and x-ray examined to be able to start the season with a healthy horse. Clinically he was 100% and radiologically the images were appropriate for his age and what he had already done. He achieved good results that year and we had selected for the European Championships for National Riders (CIC3*s) in Switzerland, unfortunately this could not take place due to COVID19.
I had him clinically examined again in December 2022 to make sure I would sell a healthy horse. He then underwent the bending tests, circles on the hard and soft and tendon scans and came out 100% fit.
I think an ambitious young rider suits him best.
